ASPired2Protect an ASP based file protection system. With ASPired2Protect, you can password protect any ASP file. This system uses an Access database for storing user names and passwords.

Login to Admin Area

Go to "yoursite/Protect/Admin/index.asp"
Enter the admin name and password.
Click Enter. You will be directed to the simple Admin Users List.

Creating a New User Item

From the Admin Control Panel, click on Add New Login and the User page opens.

In the User editor, you can create or edit a user.

ID — This will be assigned by the database.

Name — REQUIRED. This is the User Name that will be used for logging in.

Password — REQUIRED. the user's password.

Level — This is the access level. When protecting pages, you may have some page that you want only certain users to see.

High School Crush — REQUIRED. This is the answer to the hint question when retrieving forgotten passwords.

E-Mail — REQUIRED. This is the e-mail that forgotten passwords will be sent to.

Options — These check boxes will allow the user to access certain parts of pages.

Editing a User

To edit a user, click on the document icon next to the user's name. The User page will appear. See the previous section on editing a user.

Deleting a User

To delete a user, click on the Trash Can next to the user's name. A confirmation page will display.

Click on Yes, Delete It to delete the user.
